Education saved me, quite literally. Growing up in a volatile home, I gravitated to books and learning for safety and some sense of human agency. I know I'm not alone in this experience. And, because of it I possess a relentless passion for learning and sharing the visual stories of vulnerable populations around the world.
In 2006, I completed an MDiv. at Wake Forest University, in 2014 I completed a Master's Certificate in Comics at the Center for Cartoon Studies, and in 2019, I completed my MFA in Motion Media Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
It is because of my education, in combination with my life experiences, that I believe in the transformative power of creating thoughtful, authentic, engaging, and beautiful visual stories globally.

My specializations are visual storytelling & communications, interactive & intuitive design using motion design, video production, illustration, comics and paper-cut collage. I also create, wherever possible and fitting, AR learning experiences.
As needed, and with environmental sustainability in mind, I use AI tools for complex problem solving and for gaining measurable efficiencies in my workflow processes.
With animated shorts previewed at the 2022 TEDinArabic Conference, the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize Virtual Summit, and reshared regularly by Adobe Aero on Instagram, my artistic goal is to develop work that reimagines humanity's relationship with nature and technology through uniquely blended analogue and digital mediums.
Please feel free to reach out if you would like to create a unique and transformative visual stories experience together!
